Pinocchio Review

Hello my lovelies!~

Guys, I've finally finished Pinocchio! It might've taken me months to do so, but I've finally finished it! And let me just say, I absolutely loved it!

Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye have always been 2 of my favorite actors when it comes to Korean dramas and when I found out they were going to starring in a drama together I was squealing and jumping for joy. I was a tax bit skeptical at first when the trailer for the first episode came out and LJS was wearing some godawful wig. I told myself that if he wears that through the whole drama, I wouldn't be able to take him seriously and wouldn't be able to finish the drama. Luckily for me, he gets a makeover and all is right in the kdrama world.

As you can expect from 2 actors that have other big name dramas under their belts, the acting in Pinocchio was on point. Especially the lady that played Park Shin Hye's mom. Throughout the entirety of the drama, she's cruel to her daughter and makes you feel resentment towards her and you feel no sympathy for her whatsoever. However, at the end of the drama, she turns it around and you find out all of the reasons she did what she did and makes you feel sorry for her and take pity on her. The way she is able to portray this change in character and make it so believable to the viewers proves just how great of an actress she is.

The plot of this drama was pretty different from other ones with the addition of the "Pinocchio" girl who could not tell a lie without hiccuping straight afterwards, therefore giving herself away. However, this aspect of the drama was not the focal point and it focused mainly on a quest that LJS's character had after the false accusation of his father. I felt that they could have used the Pinocchio aspect a little more than they did but the storyline was still very good!

I thoroughly enjoyed this drama and I hope another one of the same caliber comes out soon because I think I'll start going through withdrawals! This one definitely gets two thumbs up from me!

See you guys next time with another review!

Emergency Couple Review

Hello my lovelies~

I'm back again with another Korean drama review, and this time I'm not neglecting my studies to do so! It's officially summer break which means more time to watch dramas which means more reviews coming your way!

I just want to start off by saying how much I thoroughly enjoyed watching this drama! I mean I pretty much couldn't stop watching and I marathoned it in like 3 days tops. I loved the medical aspect of the drama and I have no idea why. They were probably misrepresenting the field in so many ways but I just couldn't seem to care and was sucked right it. Every time they had a new ER patient, I was readily waiting to see what was wrong with them and how they would handle it. Maybe this drama was reawakening my feels that I had back in the day from Scrubs....

I've always been a fan of Song Ji Hyo because I've pretty much watched Running Man since the beginning. She's just always appealed to me because she never really tried to have an overly-cutesy image (which tends to get on my everlasting nerve after a while) but I had never watched any other drama that she had starred in. I think overall I enjoyed Ji Hyo's performance in this drama! I always think it's quite the feat if the main female character doesn't annoy me at some point or another. Ji Hyo's character was strong and did what she had to do! And I do have to say, Song Ji Hyo is very good at playing a drunk.

Choi Jin Hyuk, on the other hand, is pretty much bae. I mean have you seen his amazing, precious eye smile? But on a more suitable note, he has always been one of my favorite actors. Like I said, I might be a bit biased because I find him very, very attractive but I promise you I'm also a fan of his performance in his dramas! I can't really pinpoint what it is about him, but I'm always just entranced with his role in this drama as a dorky, smiling intern. Two thumbs up!

If a drama is gushy and romantic and so cute you want to punch someone, I can almost guarantee I'm going to love it. This drama was like that, but only in the parts where the two main characters are finally together and they're outside of the ER. So, it's not too often but it's still enough to make you squeal about it.

So, all in all, I really really liked this drama and I'm actually super sad that it's over and I can't continue to watch! I honestly have no idea why the medical drew me in like it did but I'm not really complaining! It just makes me sad that Choi Jin Hyuk is in the army and can't make anymore dramas right now. Guess I'll go curl up in a corner and cry..... Just kidding! It's back to drama-watching I go!

See you guys soon!
