Dream Knight Review!

Hello my lovelies!~

So while I should have started studying for my finals, this weekend I watched the drama that has GOT7 in it, Dream Knight! I didn't feel too bad about starting it because the episodes are fairly short and you can definitely marathon it in less than 3 hours. So technically I just took a short break from studying (shhhhhhh).

If anyone knows me they will know that I am absolutely in love with GOT7, Jackson in particular. That was one of the main reasons I decided to start this drama and I'm actually glad that I did!

With the first few episodes, I was really starting to doubt my drama selection because it was just so damn cheesy! However, once I began to look past all of the cringe-worthy cheese that filled the drama, I began to actually enjoy it and was able to fully invest myself into this drama.

Okay, not even gonna lie, but JB totally took me by surprise with his performance in this drama. I watched him back before he had even debuted with JJ Project when he was the male lead in Dream High 2 and was not completely sold when it came to his acting skills. But he took me by surprise with how well he connected with the female lead, Song Ha Yoon (who I just found out is 28 but doesn't look a day over 16 0_0). In my opinion though, Jr. was definitely the stand out actor in this drama. He was the one that seemed to be fully immersed in his character and didn't have the slight awkwardness that the other members had. He had me loathing him at one point and then turning around and making me feel sorry for him the next. Definitely the stand out!

The drama was actually really good! I know I wasn't expecting much when I found out it was going to be an idol web series drama, but it pulled me in. The ending of it even had me tearing up and almost crying! I was that invested! I was telling my friend through the whole last episode that if it ended on a sad note, I would cut someone. :P

One thing that bothered me though was the fact that JYP was the moon. Does that man always feel the need to be in EVERYTHING that any of his artists are in? Like what even.

So all in all I definitely liked this drama, even through all the cheese and grease that came with it! Although I think I might be a little biased when it comes to anything GOT7 related.

Until next time guys!

Update + Sorry!

Hello my lovelies!~

First off, I just want to say how sorry I am about how it's been a while since I've last updated. I've been so swamped with school work it's been almost impossible for me to focus on anything else.

Today marks the last day of classes for the 2015 spring semester at NCSU! This means that dead week is over, hallelujah! But, of course, this just means that finals start next week. So, I'm going to have to hole myself up in my room and study my ass off for the 6 exams I have. This might actually kill me.

So, hopefully after May 7th, which is my last exam and move out day, I will be able to update on a much more frequent basis! So expect more drama reviews, maybe some book reviews, and updates about life in general!

Thank you so much for being patient with me! Love you guys so much!

Currently Watching + Sorta Review

Hello my lovelies!~

Whoever knows me knows that I am a major fan of Korean dramas. I don't really know what it is about them, but they just seem to suck you in and you just can't seem to stop watching! Ever since I've started watching them, I just can't seem to watch that many American TV shows. With every episode it's like you're watching a movie and the plot just gets better and better with every episode!

So, as of late, I've started the drama Healer! It seems that I've started this at the most inopportune time since I have finals in right under a month, but that obviously didn't stop me! :) I'm only 12 episodes in, but I'm going to talk about how I feel about the drama so far!

I'm just going to start out by saying how damn cute the two leads are! Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young have some of the best chemistry that I've seen in a while in a show. Whenever they are on the screen together, you just can't seem to look away!

I've never been a fan of love triangles in a plot but in this one I'll make an exception because the triangle is between the main girl and then the two different personas that the main guy is portraying. :P One is an adorable, clumsy man that comes to work at the same newspaper company that the main girl, Young Shin, does and the other is "Healer", a night courier that works for whoever pays him the most money to do whatever they ask him to do.

The actors in this drama are exceptional. I've always been a fan of Park Min Young ever since I first watched her in City Hunter where she played alongside Lee Min Ho. I had absolutely no knowledge about Ji Chang Wook going into this drama besides the pictures of him I had seen on Tumblr. I wasn't really expecting much since he was not really a name that was commonly known, but boy was I surprised. He's amazing at acting out the different personas and he doesn't make them look forced at all. All I can say is, is that I've definitely become one of his fans!

This drama definitely hooked me right on the first episode and each one afterwards has just reeled me in further and further. The plot is very easy to follow and doesn't have too much going on where the viewer gets confused, unlike some dramas that I have either watched or attempted to watch in the past. It's very easy to want to marathon and just continue watching even when you know you should be doing work (like me).

All in all, I am absolutely loving this drama so far and I cannot cannot wait until my work load from school has lessened even in the slightest bit so I can finish the remaining 8 episodes that I have left to watch! I highly recommend for anyone who loves action and who loves a good cutesy romance to watch this!

Until next time!
